We are HASHIMOTOWIKSA

A creative duo in which we work as Paulina Jaksim and Kasia Kulmińska. We create shows, performances, concerts, audiovisual spectacles, photo sessions, and fashion shows.

OurprojectshavebeenpresentedinPoland,andwehaveperformedatEuropeanandworldstagefestivalsincludingCyprusContemporaryDanceFestival,Tanzmesse,ChinaShanghaiInternationalArtsFestival,BienalInternacional,anddeDançadeCuritiba.Since2015,ourchoreographiesandactivitieshavealsobeenpresentatelectronicmusicfestivalssuchasTauronNowaMuzyka,Audioriver,andShortWavesFestival.

Wecollaboratewithover20culturalinstitutionsandpartnersfromtheprivateandbusinesssectors.Weworkwithdancers,actors,musicians,performers,andmodels—creatingprojectsthatblurtheboundariesbetweenartandpopculture.WehavecollaboratedwithA.FredroTheatreinGniezno,ContemporaryTheatreinSzczecinandWrocław,CapitolTheatre,GrandTheatreinŁódź,PolishTheatreinPodziemie,DramaTheatreinWałbrzych,TheatreInstitute,aswellasTheatreArtsAcademiesinKrakówandWrocław,TamaClub,DAMDAMFoundation,PoznańPavilion,andGPDAdvertisingAgency.

For over a decade, we have shared a creative relationship with Marcin Liber, a renowned theatre director, with whom we have created over 20 theatre productions. One of them was Dropie at Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Toruń, which won the Grand Prix at the 30th National Competition for Staging Polish Contemporary Art. The productions Dropie and Dramatu rodzaju męskiego with our choreography were honored with directing awards. Since the beginning of Hashimotowiksa, we have collaborated with the .wju visual collective, which supports us technologically, visually, and in production. Together we created the opening of Poznań's Bałtyk, prepared visualizations commissioned by the City of Poznań for New Year's Eve Without Fireworks, the Afterhuman Afterparty performance, and the Davines hair show. We are the authors of the educational program PROJEKT, aimed at amateur dancers, and producers and coordinators of Artweekend Poznań — an artistic exchange platform that creates space for the local community through children's workshops and artist and craftsman fairs.

Paulina Jaksim

Dancer, choreographer, performer. Graduate of contemporary dance at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam and master's studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She also completed postgraduate management studies at WSB University in Poznań and cultural diplomacy studies at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She gained most of her stage experience at the Polish Dance Theatre, with which she has been associated since 2012, performing in productions by creators such as Ohad Naharin, Jo Strømgren, Yoshiko Waki, Jacek Przybyłowicz, Ewa Wycichowska, Marta Ziółek, and Nadar Rosano. In the 2015/2016 season, she served as artistic director of the Caro Dance Theatre ensemble. In 2023/2024, she was artistic director of the Polish part of the international project Dancing Histor(y)ies — funded by the European Union, aimed at connecting communities and heritage through dance. Certified yoga teacher (RYT-200), dance therapist (SWPS course), and privately a mother of three-year-old Cyryl.

Kasia Kulmińska

Choreographer, dancer, and visual artist exploring the relationship between body and technology, nature, and memory. She creates immersive spaces where movement becomes a language of communication, transformation, and encounter. She gained her stage and choreographic experience as a dance artist at the Polish Dance Theatre from 2008-2015. She had the opportunity to collaborate with the most important creators in the dance world such as Ohad Naharin, Jo Strømgren, Marta Ziółek, Yoshiko Waki, and Ewa Wycichowska. Ensemble experience shaped her unique movement language and thinking about choreography in social and technological contexts. Selected Projects: Nurt Organica — a site-specific project exploring community and human-nature relationships. In this project, she was responsible for concept, choreography, costumes, and production coordination. Laserspace — a digital performance combining dance and laser technology, presented at the Western Balkans Summit and the light festival in Czech Republic — Světel Valašsko. Xenophony. Symphony for the Other — Jan Komasa's multimedia project on the 60th anniversary of Poznań June; performance participation and co-creation of the choreographic layer. Education and Somatic Practice: Certified yoga instructor (RYT-200), combining somatic techniques, breathwork, and body awareness in original movement workshops.

Paulina Jaksim

Tancerka, choreografka, performerka. Absolwentka kierunku taniec współczesny na Codarts University of the Arts w Rotterdamie oraz studiów magisterskich na Uniwersytecie Muzycznym Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie. Ukończyła także podyplomowe studia menedżerskie w Wyższej Szkole Bankowej w Poznaniu oraz studia z zakresu dyplomacji kulturalnej na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim w Krakowie. Większość swojego doświadczenia scenicznego zdobyła w Polskim Teatrze Tańca, z którym związana jest od 2012 roku, występując w spektaklach twórców takich jak Ohad Naharin, Jo Strømgren, Yoshiko Waki, Jacek Przybyłowicz, Ewa Wycichowska, Marta Ziółek czy Nadar Rosano.

W sezonie 2015/2016 pełniła funkcję dyrektorki artystycznej zespołu Teatru Tańca Caro.

W latach 2023/2024 była dyrektorką artystyczną polskiej części międzynarodowego projektu Dancing Histor(y)ies - finansowanego przez Unię Europejską, której celem było łączenie społeczności i dziedzictwa poprzez taniec.

Certyfikowana nauczycielka jogi (RYT - 200), terapeutka tańcem (kurs SWPS), a prywatnie mama trzyletniego Cyryla.

Kasia Kulmińska

Choreografka, tancerka i artystka wizualna eksplorująca relacje ciała z technologią, naturą i pamięcią. Tworzy immersyjne przestrzenie, w których ruch staje się językiem komunikacji, transformacji i spotkania.

Swoje sceniczne oraz choreograficzne doświadczenie zdobyła jako artystka tancerka w Polskim Teatrze Tańca w latach 2008-2015. Miała okazję współpracować z najważniejszymi twórcami świata tańca takimi jak Ohad Naharin, Jo Strømgren, Marta Ziółek, Yoshiko Waki i Ewa Wycichowska. Doświadczenie zespołowe ukształtowało jej autorski język ruchowy i myślenie o choreografii w kontekście społecznym i technologicznym.

Wybrane projekty

Nurt Organica - projekt site-specific badający wspólnotowość i relacje człowiek–natura. W tym projekcie była odpowiedzialna za koncepcję, choreografię, kostiumy i koordynację realizacji.
Laserspace - cyfrowy performance łączący taniec i technologię laserową, prezentowany m.in. na Western Balkans Summit i festiwalu światła w Czechach - Světel Valašsko.
Xenophony. Symphony for the Other - multimedialny projekt Jana Komasy z okazji 60. rocznicy Poznańskiego Czerwca; udział performerski i współtworzenie warstwy choreograficznej.

Edukacja i praktyka somatyczna

Certyfikowana instruktorka jogi (RYT - 200), łącząca techniki somatyczne, pracę z oddechem i świadomością ciała w autorskich warsztatach ruchowych.
